Faulkner House

Path RE ROOF FAULKNER HOUSE AFTER v2

The Faulkner House Reroof Project is a renovation initiative aimed at replacing the existing roof of the historic Faulkner House. John Lees Faulkner was an early Tauranga trader, arriving in the area in 1840. His house, Okorore, was located at Beach Road, Otumoetai, before being moved to Tauranga's Historic Village in 1986. The Faulkner House holds significant cultural and historical value in the community. The deteriorating condition of the roof poses a threat to the structural integrity of the establishment, as well as the preservation of its unique architectural features. APS restored and safeguarded the Faulkner House by installing a new roof that not only protects the building but also maintains its historical authenticity. Through careful planning and expert craftsmanship the Faulkner House Reroof project ensured the longevity and continued appreciation of this cherished local landmark.
