APS was contracted to carry out the Seismic Upgrade for this school. This consisted of four large hostel blocks. The hostel blocks consisted of large double skinned brick facades and single brick veneer walls to be tied into the internal framing.

Beca Engineering specified the Helifix Heli Tie System. Steel structural members were also specified to provide structural seismic strengthening to the internal roof cavity.

There was a very limited timeframe to complete these works which was over a 3-week period of the school break. The client was extremely happy with the processes and systems used to complete these blocks.

APS took a proactive approach to this contract and completed the works within the 3-week scheduled completion date.
