Kowhai Intermediate

With a three-month programme, APS was tasked to design and install a PVC Sports Canopy over the netball / basketball court at Kowhai Intermediate.

Included in the design was extensive foundation works, which due to volcanic rock required both structural and Geotech engineering, and reinforced foundation pads / extensive foundational work.

The steelwork was fabricated in-house, and the sail track was custom designed and manufactured by the APS engineering team. This included testing for optimal performance and strength on completion of the PVC membrane installation.

Additional features to the canopy included rainwater downpipes, full LED lighting, a PA system, Astro turf, and specified Airtime Hoops.
