Refurbishment of corroding structural steelwork with 2 pack protective coating system.
As part of this historic restoration, our paint partner was engaged to develop a colour scheme designed to create an exact replica of the original colours. This was to ensure that the building’s original ornate charm was restored in both colour and condition. Included in the scope of works was the intricate ornamental motif, which involved six prominent colours, including ‘gold’.
Built in 1911, the building was mostly masonry, with timber joinery. Due to the age and condition of the building, a great deal of attention was given to preparation prior to applying the specified system.
The restoration was successfully completed, with the ornamental colours matching perfectly to their former colour, and the results speak for themselves.
